Dr. Amr Habib DDS
I come from a family of five where 4 of us are dentists and where education and personal development are valued. I have learned to appreciate hard work and the gratification that comes with it by watching my father, dentist and educator, thrive and achieve his dreams through dedication to perfection in his career. Having such a role model inspired me to pursue a career in dentistry.

I received my Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Oral Medicine at the Cairo University Faculty of Oral Medicine and Dental Surgery in 2005. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in the top 10 of my class. After graduating I did 1 year as a general practice resident in Cairo university hospitals. During that year I was exposed to all the aspects of general dentistry and comprehensive dental care. That year ignited my passion for prosthodontics. Due to my class rank, I was given the opportunity to join the faculty of Cairo University Dental School as junior faculty where I decided to join the department of Removable Prosthodontics which I maintained till 2008.

In 2008, I was accepted and matriculated in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry 2 years. postgraduate program at Eastman Institute of Oral Health at the University of Rochester New York. That enabled me to receive my licensure in the United States of America. I then continued my specialty training and certification in prosthodontics at Rutgers School of Dentistry 2015 – 2018. In 2018, I matriculated in a digital and implant dentistry fellowship in Rutgers school of dental medicine where I was able to work with digital dental technologies to improve the surgical and restorative outcomes for patients. In July 2019 I matriculated in the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to manage the dental and prosthetic needs of patients going through cancer. Through that period until July 2020.

OUR CROWING ACHEIVEMENTS
100+ reviews
"Went to Madison Dentistry recently for a cleaning and they found I had two cavities. Any sort of procedure leaves me quite on edge, but Dr. Habib and his staff did a wonderful job at easing my anxieties. He even went the extra mile and drew out what exactly a cavity is after the procedure when I asked him questions! You can tell Madison Dentistry really cares about their patients, and I would highly recommend them!"
"Madison Dentistry is excellent.  The doctors are completely professional and caring.  The staff on a whole, are friendly, polite and efficient.  I would recommend “Madison Dentistry,” to my family and friends in the blink of an eye."
"I had an emergency dental situation, which ended up requiring a cap on a molar.  Having my regular dentist in San Diego, I was concerned how quickly I can find a dentist in NYC for this emergency care.  Dr. Silver was able to get me in within an hour of my initial call and put a permanent cap a week later.  I couldn't be happier with how it turn out.  The staff here is amazing as well - they are friendly, professional and go out of their ways to help.  Highly recommend this place."
"I had a great experience.  The doctor was very knowledgeable and efficient and his staff and dental assistant were really friendly. I was shocked when I was in and out of the office in half an hour, but my teeth feel clean and the dentist reviewed the potential problem areas we'll keep an eye on.  Looking forward to going back in 6 months."
"Madison Dentistry deserves 10 stars!!! I was a little apprehensive about visiting a new dentist since moving here from another state, but the entire staff exceeded my expectations. The receptionist, hygienist, and doctor were all amazing and took the time to make sure I understood everything  that was happening. Great office!!!"
"Dr. Silver is the best! I have been seeing him for close to 40 years and he takes such good care. The office has been updated so modern and clean plus a very convenient location. Just went in as part of  Phase 1 and they are taking every precaution to keep their staff and patients safe. I was LONG overdue for a cleaning  :)"

FAQ

Questions
How often should I visit the dentist?

It is recommended to visit the dentist for a regular check-up and cleaning every six months. However, your dentist may suggest more frequent visits based on your individual oral health needs.

What should I do if I have a toothache?

If you experience a toothache, rinse your mouth with warm water and use dental floss to remove any food particles stuck between your teeth. If the pain persists, contact your dentist for an appointment as soon as possible. You can also take over-the-counter pain medication to help alleviate discomfort until you can see your dentist.

How can I prevent cavities?

To prevent cavities, brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, and limit sugary and acidic foods and beverages. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings are also essential for maintaining good oral health.

What are the signs of gum disease?

Signs of gum disease include red, swollen, or tender gums, bleeding while brushing or flossing, persistent bad breath, receding gums, and loose or shifting teeth. If you notice any of these symptoms, schedule an appointment with your dentist.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept most major dental insurance plans, as well as cash, credit cards, and financing options through third-party providers. Please contact our office for more information on specific payment options and to verify your insurance coverage.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

In case of a dental emergency, such as a knocked-out tooth, severe toothache, or broken dental appliance, contact our office immediately. We reserve time in our daily schedule for emergency appointments and will provide you with instructions on how to handle your situation until you can see the dentist.

Are dental X-rays safe?

Yes, modern dental X-rays are safe. The amount of radiation exposure from a dental X-ray is minimal, and dentists take precautions to minimize exposure by using lead aprons and collars. X-rays are an essential diagnostic tool for detecting dental issues that may not be visible during a regular exam.
